Memory Quilt
Quilted yarn
During our Stay-at-Home time together Annabeth (SBA Class of 2014), and I made a Memory Quilt.
Every day, we each knit one square to remind us of special experiences we
shared together over the past 23 years of our Mother-Daughter relationship. We expressed these memories by knitting together different colours of yarn we could find around the house into squares. Some squares are crazy colourful, others rather ominous. The colours all have meaning and purpose. As you can see the Quilt is almost finished, with just a few more squares to go. This is a happy, but sad completion. In a few weeks Annabeth will be permanently moving away from home to continue her graduate studies in Classical Roman Archaeology. The Quilt was made for her to take along on her life journey. The memories of our relationship, and the past few months we were able to share making it, will hopefully always keep her warm.
